Christmas is the perfect time to teach your kids about sewing basics. Banners for the holiday are simple projects that allow your children to explore their design skills. The fabric in my Christmas banner has metallic thread accents that give the finished banner the extra sparkle and shine that is the hallmark of Christmas decorating!
The tree and apples are cut from felt, glued on, then hand stitched for highlighting. Simple beads, a gold star and a hand painted snowman complete the accent pieces. Loops on top of the banner are for mounting on a wooden dowel rod. That's it.. a simple project that will keep your little ones busy during their holiday vacation! Busily crafting children means more time for you to wrap those last minute surprises and fill those empty spaces under the tree at YOUR Christmas house!
